The next level in context and competition is search referrals, Searchers have queried a topic and they are evaluating the result page to find the most relevant choice to click!

@Slimline Warehouse, You are right in regard to disclosure and sponsored posts. As a blogger you would need to find a happy medium. Services such as Social Spark require bloggers to have a site disclosure and also require sponsored posts to be marked with a badge as you see in my post above.

As long as you produce quality content on a regular basis, and identify sponsored posts I don't think it's much of an issue.

That is interesting.
I run a retail blog so i'd definitely be interested, but i'd also keep an eye on what kind of disclosure is required for, say, a sponsored blog post. As with any advertising the blogger, in this case, if ethical must disclose the sponsor arrangement.
Then the question is who wants to visit a blog where posts are obviously biased?

Slimline Warehouses last blog post..<a href="http://slimline-warehouse.blogspot.com/2009/03/myer-announce-53-increase-in-profits.html" rel="nofollow">Myer Announce a 5.3% Increase in Profits</a>
