I’m Going to Carry the 2010 Olympic Torch!
Am I an athlete? Nope. Am I someone famous? Not yet! Then how you ask am I going to be carrying the torch during the Olympic Torch Relay in the Vancouver 2010 Olympics? I entered a contest, that’s how! The contest itself is being put together by iCoke.ca and is open to Canadian residents only. 6700+ people will be chosen from the entrants who will then be required to submit a story on how they live an active life or how you contribute to keeping your community green.
Now I admit I don’t live much of an ‘active life’ in the full sense of the word. I’m a blogger and internet addict so my definition of an active life is keeping busy on the internets and helping others jump on the internet train and start their online life. I’m a leader type person, sure. I help and show people how to establish themselves online, I do this for free and I enjoy it. Does that qualify me to carry the torch? Probably not but hey, this contest could qualify me and then I’d have to come up with a meaty story to write but I’m a procrastinator so I’ll wait until the entrants are chosen before I worry about what I’m going to write.

Good luck Dan!

I’ll make sure you have a Netfirm’s Hat with a Coupon code on it!
Love to catch up sometime when you have a free moment.
Nice blog btw – you have a real handle on site design and quality content. I bet you might have a few tips for me and the netfirms blog (chuckle).
Talk in the halls.

On Xena and Murderabilia
There is a stigma that is eternally attached to anyone who collects true crime artifacts. Sure, I have a hard time understanding why someone would pay money for the used socks of a serial killer, but I also have a hard time understanding why someone kills and animal, guts it, mounts it to their wall and calls it “art”. Same goes for people who would pay millions for a dress some starlet wore to the Oscars, a baseball signed by a major leaguer,
