Adoptionandfire.com gets a Facelift!
I am pleased to announce that I have had the opportunity to give a face-lift to a blog for one of my readers from the special offer I posted in December. For those not familiar, in December I posted an article offering my blog services for free. I opted to take an existing platform hosted blog such as those hosted at wordpress.com , typepad.com and blogger.com and convert it to a self-hosted Wordpress site. All of this was essentially done for free with the exception of the hosting services to which I provided some recommended hosting links to sign up for. The only requirement to receive a free blog from me was to use my recommended hosting signup links.
Wendy over at adoptionandfire.typepad.com contacted me early January regarding the offer that had not yet been taken (to my surprise.. i mean comon, a FREE BLOG?!?) and I was really happy to see that someone was interested so I jumped right into it. Although it’s been about a month since I began, we are almost finished and ready to release the site officially. Wendy was really pleased with the current theme I was using on my site at the time so I used the same theme I was using to develop hers although with slight differences. That is the
beauty of using a free platform such as Wordpress, along with free themes and plugins. You are not restricted to or stuck with having to come up with your own stuff. Everything you need is available for free!
Wendy’s website, newly relocated to adoptionandfire.com is a personal journey that her and her husband have taken. They documented their path to adoption where they have adopted a beautiful baby girl from Fengdu, China who they’ve named Catherine. The blog is full of wonderful posts from their every day life and follows Catherine’s upbringing. There is plenty of support from family and friends and the global adoption community and I am very pleased to have been able to help out with the new website.
I invite you to visit both the OLD and NEW AdoptionandFire website and if you’ve got something to say then feel free to post your thoughts.

You have done an awesome job so far! Thanks for all you have done and I am totally looking forward to moving over to the new site!
