What is the world coming to
We were a silent, hidden thought in the folds of oblivion, and we have become a voice that causes the heavens to tremble
The title of this post says it all, a quote by Kahlil Gibran a Lebanese born American philosophical Essayist, Novelist and Poet. What does it say you ask? It says life2front.com .
While surfing the web late tonight I came across that website life2front and was completely floored. I sat there staring at the screen until my eyes started to tear from not blinking. If you thought your life couldn’t get any more public think again. life2front in a nutshell aggregates all of your online profiles onto one single page and sets it up like an inbox. Have your Facebook feeds, blog posts, twitter updates, mybloglog, mybiglog, stomache aches, farts and other random shit all right in your face. You can then click your way around and mark stuff off just like you do with your email.
I mean shit I couldn’t stand the thought of Myspace and refused to sign up for that garbage years ago then when Facebook came out I was against that too. Wow then twitter and anything else in between. This is some scary shit the way everyones lives become more and more public and I still can’t decide whether this is a good thing or not. There’s definitely some cool ideas but Im not jumping on that boat anytime in the near future. Yes I now have a Facebook account and ONLY a Facebook account and post very limited information about my actual life.
All of this stuff combined is like some serious stalker shit where your phone pages you because some girl you like is having coffee around the corner or have your bosses know your every move; “….bullshit you were sick your twitter profile says you went to the cottage and your flickr account proves it.” Now with life2front you can go to one place and see it all.
This scares me…. There are too many “lifestreaming” services appearing.
