Serial Box Crime

I want to take the time to address a comment that was left on my site this past weekend.  What was written here bothers me and I have to respond.  I have quoted the comment below which was left on this articie.

I am a victim’s family member on serialkillercalendar. I can tell you how stunned I was to read what some “artist” WROTE about my sisters. Complete lies.I can also tell you the talking heads out there who are calling to STOP murderabilia, don’t really give a shit about the victims families either. It’s a terrible exploitation and I am outraged. I’ve contacted people and researched countless hours on this topic, gullibly send links to where I find sites that mention my sisters, and these talking heads are only trying to build there own name and reputation to build their own notoriety. Why else would they ignore my calls or letters when I contact them to ask what is going on. What I want most, not money, not recognition for my name to get out there, because to me is the same as exploiting my sisters deaths, but far worse. What I want is to inform the public on the TRUTH…of course its BS what they wrote on the calendar..to glorify the killer, only the defamed my sisters in order to gain self recognition so you would but this filth. You’re not bad, just a fool and to me you are just a vehicle for the killer to gain false sympathy while he awaits death row. No justice for the families, only putting salt on old wounds…go ahead…enjoy your little guilty pleasure…ask yourself when you look in the mirror every day…Would you want YOUR sister, mother or brother mentioned in passing, while the killer sits staring back at you as to say”I am special” look world I made it while stepping on good people to get my face in history…and I never suffered consequences. Oh you are so good. Don’t justify yourself to think you are good because you don’t kill cats. YOu are harming our comrads in life…maybe even your next door neighbor. Did you know that victims who have viewed these sites have winded up in a hospital? Whats worse, is all the good people like you don’t care.

It is a terrible thing what happened to your sister but please do not group me, or others like me with people who “glorify” serial killers and their actions.

This site was put together because of my fascination with serial and high profile crime.  What does fascination mean you ask?

I have always been fascinated with the minds of serial killers and criminals.  I read countless non-fiction books on the subject, including books that have been written by serial killers themselves.  This does not mean that I condone the glorification of these people nor do I wish that these types of things continue to happen, however the fact that it does happen is all the more reason for people like myself to research and read on the subject in hopes of one day understanding why they do what they do.

What does my site have to do with the SerialKillerCalendar? Nothing!  So whats with the comparison between the two of us.  What does the comment above have to do with my site, with Natalie’s post?  Nothing!

Believe me, I feel for you.  It is not right that these killers get the attention they do,  but ignoring the problem is not the answer!
